Virtual Skipping Competition 2010

This week is the Virtual Skip2bfit Semi Finals Week.

It has been an interesting competition this year. Many schools that signed up originally either pulled out or not responded at all to any emails or phone calls!!! Therefore it has made the leagues very hit and miss. Even towards the end some schools that were really good at sending in results at the start failed to keep up that momentum and you will see from the full league tables on the website that some results were missing. If schools failed to meet deadlines for results they scored 0. Right up until friday afternoon the results kept changing and so it was quite exciting to see in the end who would go forward to the Semi's. The following schools are through and competiting this week to try to get into the final (next week).

Year 3: Winner L1 V Runner Up L2
Potten End v Swinggate

Winner L2 v Runner up L1
Maple Grove v Gaddesden Row

Year 4: Winner L1 v Runner up L2
Potten End v Chambersbury

Winner L2 v Runner up L1
Southhill v Gaddesden Row

Please can those schools in the Semi Final Please get their skip results to Fiona Fraser asap so that she can inform the two schools that will be in the final next week!!

Thank you.

Happy Skipping!

Year 4 Final
Potten End 245 v 240 Bishop Wood

Year 3 Final
Potten End 235 v 222 Gade Valley

Well done to Potten End who were winners in both the Year 4 and Year 3 2009 competition

Congratulations to everyone who took part. To see the league tables and results please follow the link below.

Each week schools will be competing against other schools in the Partnership from the comfort of their school site. Pupils will participate in the 2 minute Skip2BFit challenge. All pupils participating will have their scores added together and then divided by the number of pupils participating to get an average school score.

The results are sent to the Partnership, where they are compared against the school they were competing against that week. The highest scoring school will get 5 points for a win. A draw is worth 3 points and a loss 1 point.
